I first started coming to this shop for convenience, as it was close to USC. It's been 3 years since I've graduated and this is still my go-to shop for all of my car maintenance. It's true that some of the employees are not particularly "warm" or friendly but they're honest and that's really the most important quality you want in a mechanic. They aren't necessarily the cheapest shop but I would rather have a slightly pricier, but honest mechanic than a cheap mechanic that might cut corners. Some of my positive experiences in my years of coming here include: - When they give you a price estimate for the maintenance you need, it will include parts, labor, taxes, fees--basically everything. When you look at the final bill, it'll be pretty much the exact same dollar amount they quoted, no surprise charges. - I needed to replace a flat tire and, as I knew nothing about my car, I wasn't even sure what kind of tire I needed. I called the shop and they patiently talked me through how to check for the tire size through the phone. I never felt embarrassed or belittled for my (stereotypical) lack of knowledge. - During one of my routine oil changes, they informed me that in about six to nine months, I would likely need to get my brake pads changed. Six months later, when I took in my car, they looked at it and said that the pads still had a few more months left. I appreciated that they gave me a heads-up about the pads but were also upfront to admit when something did not need to get fixed yet - The mileage was up on my car tires and I brought my car in to get new tires. The mechanic inspected the tread and informed me that, despite the numerical mileage, the tread on my tires were fine and I didn't need to replace them yet

After being ripped off several times by Toyota, we went to University Tire and they fixed everything for 1/2 the cost. Very quick turn around and very reasonably priced. We now take all of our vehicles there for maintenance. I recommend asking for John - he is the bee's knees.

I brought my car here for an oil change, and they informed me I needed to change brakes and a tire. I agreed to do this extra work which was done well and timely, but noticed a weird noise after picking up my car. They took responsibility for the noise, and were very upfront with me. Long story short, there was a problem with a wheel bearing which they fixed for free, and it turned out it wasn't even their fault. Will definitely come here again, and recommend to friends.

This place is extremely overpriced, it seems like they take advantage of peoples misfortune. I went in with a flat tire and they wanted $35 to patch it!!! Thats like a 10-15 dollar job, I just went across the street to autozone got a fix a flat for $10 and went to rolling tires by my house and paid $10 to fix it.

Came here for a wheel alignment. They did a great job, managed to align my tires without me having to buy extra parts. I'm 100% satisfied.

I've been going to University Tire for the past two years, and I figured it's about time to post my review. These guys are honest and they do good work. Whether it's regarding tires or brakes or engine issues, they do a thorough and honest job. This past week, I took my van into the shop to get my brakes checked out. They were vibrating and I thought it was because my pads were getting low and I needed new brake pads. Well, after they did the initial inspection, they told me I had two options. 1) replace the two front brakes and rotors as there seemed to be build up that was causing the vibrating. Total cost about $300 OR 2) just have them clean the rotors off and retain the existing brake pads since they said I still have about a good 50% of the pads left. Total cost $105. I told them I would definitely want to do the latter job since it would save me money and since they thought the dirty rotors were the problem. They told me good choice and agreed. They just wanted to give me the first option just in case i wanted to do it for some reason. It's been a week and the vibrating still has not returned. They fixed the brake issue in such an honest way, not trying to milk me for extra work and extra money. This is just one of my experiences that I've had with them over the course of the past two years. If you want good, honest service at a very reasonable price, I highly recommend.

Absolutely the best guys for tires. They are courteous, quick, considerate of your time, and easy to deal with. I have been here for my last 2 sets of tires and returned because of the service. When I had an accident and needed documentation for my tire refund, a simple call fixed it all. Based on my caller ID, he had my tire order up immediately and offered to send it to my email address that was already on file. Then, he offered to look up my car info and sent me an email for the exact same tires as last time, per my request. When I got home, I found 2 emails, one helping me get over $400 back from my insurance, and another with a quote for the exact same price I have been graciously offered the first time (they price matched a very competitive retailer). They had my car done when promised and texted me when done. Upon picking up my car and the old tires, I was offered bags to keep my old tires from dirtying my leather. Bottomline, I have a single 'tire shop' to recommend to all who ask. Go here, tell em Calvin sent ya.

Totally unprofessional and all they want is get your money into their pocket, if I can give 0 star, I will. I went there for oil change for my new bought second hand car and they couldn't finish the task and charge me fully(about 70$)... Their reason is the filter is block by the bottom of the car, after I check online, it turns out the filter should be changed from the top for my car, and everyone on Youtube can easily do it. I was totally shocked by their unprofessional skill, totally waste of money. One of the tall staff is so rude and still don't admit his mistake of unable to change the filter. I then went to "Vermont auto center", they change my filter easily, I strongly suggest "Vermont auto center" where the owner is honest and full of skill.

Got my flat tire fixed here. Cost $35. They were friendly. Drove in, no appointment made. Took a couple hours. Alot of time mechanics will leave dirt smudges inside the car, was afraid of that, but all looked clean and smudge free. Good experience!

I always come here for my oil changes on a Saturday, leave my car and come back later. I've had all my tires changed and other work. They are always courteous and never try to sell me unnecessary services. Thanks!
